She grinned more than happy to talk about her project. “ I’m hoping it would work out. If it does …I may be able to program them to do almost anything…could have medical applications…might even be able to figure out how to provide a neural link. But that’s getting way ahead of myself. Might not even happen in my lifetime. “ She smiled obviously excited about her work and research. But she knew that she had a tendency to bore others when she continued to ramble on about it.
She smiled “that’s really kind of you. Were you able to help?” She replied. She hadn’t really pegged him for the sweet big brother type but of course he wasn’t really the most forthcoming being. She was pretty sure he had something about him that was just a little off . things didn’t add up with him. Gwen was the type of person to go into a puzzle. It probably wouldn’t be long until she’d be doing research on the man…maybe hack into some classified databases to find out more . there likely wasn’t any system that she couldn’t’ get into. Firewalls weren’t really built to keep out technophiles.
She was a little surprised when he said he had a son. “ oh you have a son…how old is he? “ She sort of realized that she really didn’t know much about the man at all. For a moment she’d started to wonder if maybe he had a wife or girlfriend to go along with his son?...that would be a …disappointment. Especially since she had a quite bit of an attraction to the man. Unlike her mother she would actually feel bad for sleeping with a married man. Though something about him seemed that he wasn’t really that type. She knew he his hiding something…she knew there had to be some serious secrets surrounding him.
She shook her head when he asked her if she had plans for the night. “ not really… I didn’t have any plans until you called me. I’d just work on my project. Maybe take a walk around the park later. Maybe start drawing up plans for a new project. Sounds dull I know. “ she said with a smile. Yes for the most part her life was pretty boring in most people’s eyes. Though for her building nanotechnology was a pretty exciting prospect. But meeting up with Beowulf was definitely a bonus to her day. She was more than happy to be having lunch with him. Especially as she’d never expected him to actually contact her again. The woman could be a bit of a loner in away sometimes. Her work didn’t really require much interaction with other people…which is probably why her best friend was basically her mom. Not that she could really complain. Her mother was probably the only thing keeping her from being a complete tech geek. Though Gwen did have her own little sense of adventure. When she really wanted she’d pack up and just go somewhere on a whim. If she had an opportunity to do something new she didn’t hesitate for a moment. “ Do you have any plans tonight? “ She asked him. She was enjoying talking to him. It was nice.
