It was all perfectly planned. Really, it had to be that way. There was no more times of spur of the moment meeting for jogs or anything. No giggling in the backyard without a purpose. No, Lily had to meticulously plan each detail to be sure nothing could go wrong. Were both of them off work? Check. Did either of them have prior engagements that could interfere in the least bit? Check, both were completely free. What activities did they want to do? Well, according to her not so detailed emails with her sister, they would meet for coffee then go for a job through the park. Perhaps more if they so desired. Even lunch was a possibility, but Lily knew how busy her sister kept herself, so would not push for more than her sister was willing to give. Spending time with her was the purpose behind this get together. Well, she assumed that was the purpose.
Before she could really get into the swing of going to hang out with her sister, though, she’d have to make sure her beasties were cared for. First step was doing her morning inspection of the house for puppy poo or pee anywhere. Second was to refill food and water bowls with fresh stuff cuz the old food was likely not near as tasty as new. Yes, she does spoil her pooches. Last was to take them outside for a few rounds of catch and so they could go potty. All these things were very important in the care of her spoiled little beasties. After all was done, she could finally get ready to meet her sister.
Getting ready into some jogging gear, Lily grinned at herself in the mirror. Today was surely going to be a good day. Once everything was locked up and her pets were for sure taken care of while she was gone, she headed out. The meeting for coffee part was easy. There was a small coffee shop near the park that they planned to jog through, so that was the stop. Parking, Lily didn’t see her sister’s vehicle, so decided to go ahead in and wait. In no time at all, she was seated and waiting to place her order for her sister. Instead of idly sitting there staring at walls, Lily played on her phone. It appeared as though she were playing a game, but upon closer inspection she was really poking through her color coordinated calendar page. Each color had a different activity. A variation of a color meant a specific person, which further complicated things. It was a good thing Lily had a good memory. An excellent memory really. It was also extremely good that she wasn’t color blind, otherwise her system would fail.
