It was dark outside, the shroud of night covered the land that is New Jersey. It was the perfect hunting ground for vampires. When the sun went over the horizon, it was all fair game. The buildings provided more coverage and care than any trees in the forest. With the busy city life, no one could see nor care of what would happen. Murder was normal, traffic jams were normal, gang fights were normal, broken signs were normal; everything was just normal tonight. Even if there was a crime, it was just New Jersey – nothing new, right? Same went for unconscious bodies covered in blood with ripped clothing lying soundly in alleyways…
Eyes glared down as another vampire swooped in for the kill; leaving another hungry and just staring in the shadows. Hands slunk in his pockets, fingers scratching at the sewn insides as he watched the vampire walk away form the woman in the alleyway. It was kind of his fault though; he got distracted by something and this was what happened. The early bird caught the worm, after all. However, she wasn’t the only woman walking around at night – this was a huge city, there was plenty of other prey about. Grinding his teeth a bit, Dominick turned about and slipped out from the shadows of which he watched and walked off to find more suitable prey that wasn’t dead or about to die… In the typical alleyway no less.
Walking a bit and passing a few people, Dominick turned the corner and was slowly walking away from the business of the city to the calmer down side of it – part of the city where the residential resided. Surely someone was outside there on his way back home. If not, he had a few more hours of hunting prey before the sun came out. Smelling something so innocent, so pure, Dominick got his eyes set on someone – a beautiful woman. A young woman in her twenties in his eyes; beautiful brown locks and skin that looked so smooth; housing beautiful blood that pumped from a strong heart. He had his prey, and now… He had to act casual and follow her without being noticed. Oh, the fun!
