AngelsEither made in Heaven or born to two Angel parents, these are the good guys. Most of them have heightened senses, usually six of them, actually. They appear perfectly human while they’re on Earth, yet they’re not. Although they’re woundable, they live for a very, very long time.
Aging: Extremely slow. They can grow to be thousands of years.
Nutrition: Anything.
Senses: Usually high.
Strength: Average.
Speed: Average.
Magic: Sure.
Can they feel other species? Demons, yes. The rest? Not always.
Becoming: Made, by death, transfer from demon/entity > angel.
Weaknesses: Fatal wounds and some diseases could lead to death. Some demonic citations can be deadly.
DemonsThe critters from hell. Although nowadays, not all Demons are intentionally evil or bad, most are born to demonic going-on-human parents, they still have a bad reputation. They can be born or made.
Aging: Extremely slow.
Nutrition: Anything.
Senses: Very high.
Strength: Above average.
Speed: Above average.
Magic: Sure.
Can they feel other species? Angels? Yes. The rest? Not usually.
Becoming: Made, by death, transfer from entity/angel > demon.
Weaknesses: Holy water - painful. Sacred ground/churches makes them feel weak. Fatal wounds and some diseases can lead to death.
EntitiesEverything that’s technically dead goes here; so they cannot be born, only made this way. It can be ghosts, materialised spirits, whatever you want.
Aging: Eh, no. They’re dead.
Nutrition: Not needed.
Senses: Average.
Strength: None to average.
Speed: Extreme.
Magic: Just the normal ghost mumbo jumbo.
Can they feel other species? Usually, yes.
Becoming: By death only.
Weaknesses: They're a ghost but a priest may be able to send them away.
GiftedHumans born with special abilities that vary. They can range from minor things to more drastic, depending on the person. They are usually blessed with one ability, unless their abilities are similar to one another.
Aging: Human, unless an ability changes it.
Nutrition: Burgers and fries.
Senses: Sucky, unless an ability changes it.
Strength: Low, unless an ability changes it.
Speed: Low, unless an ability changes it.
Magic: Yes; depends on what they have.
Can they feel other species? No, unless an ability says otherwise.
Becoming: Made.
Weaknesses: Fatal wounds, their opposite element can be deadly. Diseases can be deadly.
HumansThe average Joes and Janes, generally unaware of whatever goes around in the world. Humans are unaware of the supernatural unless somehow confronted them.
Aging: Human.
Nutrition: Burgers and fries.
Senses: Sucky.
Strength: Low.
Speed: Extremely low.
Magic: Usually, no.
Can they feel other species? Definitely not.
Becoming: Made, rebirth (must ask for permission first).
Weaknesses: Fatal wounds and disease.
HybridsA combination of two or more species from this list is called a hybrid. You’re usually born one, unless a vampire or werewolf turning process messes up and you’re stuck in-between.
Aging: Depends on the mix. See other species.
Nutrition: Depends.
Senses: Depends.
Strength: Depends.
Speed: Depends.
Magic: Depends.
Can they feel other species? Depends.
Becoming: Made, failed "turning".
Weaknesses: Fatal wounds, some disease, and a mix of the two species.
Shape ShiftersHumans with shape shifting in their bloodlines. They must have gotten it from their parents much like any other full-blooded group on the list. One cannot be turned into a shifter. Basically, they have a simple human form and one or more (three max) animal forms they can take on.
Aging: Human.
Nutrition: Normal.
Senses: Heightened, especially in animal form.
Strength: Heightened.
Speed: Slightly above average.
Magic: None.
Can they feel other species? Usually, no.
Becoming: Made.
Weaknesses: Fatal wounds and disease.
VampiresThe old Draculas, which can be only brougth into the world: turned. They dislike sunlight, think that werewolves smell like garbage and like to drink blood. Most of them are extravagantly charming and seductive – they can make you do whatever they want. They do not sparkle, fear religion or dislike Garlic. There are old Noble vampire families in the larger countries in the world.
Aging: Frozen.
Nutrition: Must drink blood, though they can eat normal food too.
Senses: High, especially for smelling blood.
Strength: Extremely high.
Speed: Extremely high.
Magic: Manipulative gifts, charm, etc.
Can they feel other species? Usually, yes.
Becoming: Turned.
Weaknesses: Sunlight kills. Holy water burns. Sacred ground/churches makes them feel weak.
WerewolvesA man by day, a wolf by night – just not really. Werewolves have to turn into their canine shape once a month, but other than that, they’re free to stay in whichever form they prefer. They can either be born or made by injecting lots of werewolf DNA into a human being.
Aging: Human.
Nutrition: Normal, with a preference for meat.
Senses: High.
Strength: Extremely high, especially in their canine form.
Speed: Extremely high.
Magic: No.
Can they feel other species? Usually, they can smell it.
Becoming: Made, turned.
Weaknesses: Silver can kill. Fatal wounds and disease. No control via full-moon can be fatal.
OthersIf you want to have a character of a species that hasn’t been mentioned above, ask an admin and go ahead. Creativity is good. So far Other's on this site include Grim Reapers, Cupids, soul-fused individuals, and other were-creatures. More may be added.
