NAME:Severin “Sev” Shevchenko Strez.
AGE:23. He was twenty-one when he became a guard for the prison, and has been working there for two years.
GENDER:Male.
SEXUALITY:Straight.
SPECIES:Gifted – Hemokinesis (control of blood) and Electrokinesis (control of electricity; body-wise and non).
NATIONALITY:American, German, Italian, Gaelic.
OCCUPATION:Bing a pain in the rear.Correction officer (Prison guard).
`live for suffer, live for revenge

know your life comes to an end*
APPEARANCE:This man stands a little bit over six foot tall. His skin is more so pale but in some areas, more so his arms and legs, appear more tanned due to his job and being outside a lot of the time. His hair is a mocha brown color, though sometimes Severin gets some highlights or dyes it a more blond color. He doesn’t do it much. It usually stays brown and on the shorter side since long hair looks stupid on a man. His eyes are green, an envious viridian. The clothing he wears is usually casual or lazily put together. Baggy jeans and a loose shirt are his normal attire unless he is on the job; which consists of a blue uniform, a slightly uncomfortable one.
CELEB CLAIM:Jared Leto.
`taste the blood, taste your fate

PERSONALITY:On the outside, the man has a calm exterior. Most of the time. Usually when he isn’t agitated or annoyed with something. Otherwise; he will show just ‘some’ of his colors. Being blessed, as he calls it, with these “abilities from God”, he believes he is above you. But, you know, he is technically a ‘freak of nature’ and he knows it, and thus, tries not to act all high and mighty. On the inside of Sev, the man is constantly grinning, for he knows he basically has the power to help aid you or let you die. The man was really power hungry back in the day, but now it seems to have lessened in quality. Nonetheless, here and there he can act needy and full of pride; wanting to be in complete control. He tries not to be. For he knows how it could impact on him in the long run, and who knows – he might just need friends.
Sarcasm is a language he is fluent in, and usually he doesn’t know when to stop with his yapper. Despite his inner personality and the slight show of trying to be superior and bad-arse, Severin is a man of his word. If he says something, he dang well will keep to it. He is a slightly serious man at times when the situation calls for it, else he can be labeled as a crude and harsh joker as well as a risk taker. After all, if he gets hurt, he can help himself heal a bit – quickening his blood flow with the white blood cells and all. The man gets annoyed easily and it seems like every small thing out there that is out of place annoys him. Personally, he cannot stand that stuff. He doesn’t take sh*t at all and will go in your face if need be.
Even though he thinks he is better than you, Sev is not a bad guy. He does have a bad reputation, but he usually does ‘good’. If he had to pick a side, besides his “neutral”, he would pick good. Though yes, he is a jerk and thinks you’re worms, he doesn’t do stuff without intention most of the time. He has a tendency to take things out on people, but doesn’t everyone? Severin is a protective man over the people that he labels his “inner circle” or maybe he just is attached to you. He doesn’t get attached easily and does thinks ‘newfound’ friends are ‘expendable’, that doesn’t mean he won’t stand up and defend you. Getting on his good side… Is a very good thing. Severin is like one of those Pitbull’s you see wandering around, ready to fight and defend, but only if there is a cause to the action. With Sev, there has to be an action in order to receive his reaction. And usually, his reactions are physical.
Despite his demeanor, depending upon th situation, the man can be a joker. A little crude and cruel, but he loves a good laugh. It’s such a stress reducer, no? And everyone needs that. He loves a good joke. When things get a little out of hand, Severin either cheats, goes into his “finesse and style” ways as he calls it, or turns coward – only when he knows not even his powers would do any good. All in all, Sev is one of those “jerks” at a first impression, those guys that think they’re so awesome when in fact they really aren’t. His ego is higher than the average bloke, and his care is a little low; but the man is not necessarily evil. He just sometimes, okay more than usually, gets out of line. He loves the adrenaline rush that comes with things.
LIKES:Freedom. Adrenaline rushes. Cool air. Having people listen to him. Being in control. Having people look up to him. Scaring people off. Getting free things. Going over the speed limit and not getting caught. The ‘big’ dogs. Having people do things for him. Doing something and not being lazy. Bars. Drinks. Women. Loud music. Metal music. Company.
DISLIKES:When people don’t get a clue. Cars with loud bass that basically vibrates under his feet from feet away. When people think they’re funny when they’re not. When people think they’re superior than him. When he gets caught or in trouble. When he is hurt. The sun – it is far too hot, and he doesn’t like the heat much. When the smallest things are out of place – it sets him off. People taking advantage of him. Not getting the taste of freedom. Not getting his coffee fix.
SECRETS:He accidentally killed his unborn brother. See history for details.
The fact that he’s a “freak” as his father calls the ‘gifted’. Normally people have one ability but Severin was blessed, or cursed, with two.
He wishes that his mother would drop the grudge and accept him back fully into her life.
FEARS:He is scared his powers might get him killed one day, though that doesn’t really stop him from actually using them. He is afraid of heights, but he keeps on pushing himself to do stunts that require ‘height’ so he may possibly overcome this fear. He is also scared of bees and other bugs with needles… They sting and he doesn’t like getting stabbed in the rear.
DREAMS:Severin dreams of becoming Warden of the prison someday. Hey, it’s better pay.
That he could excel in his powers even more so.
STRENGTHS:Determination. Stubbornness. Has a solid mindset and doesn’t change it. Straight-forward. Secret keeper.
WEAKNESSES:Can be too egotistical. Sometimes lacks empathy. Takes risks. Crude. Has to be top dog.

HISTORY:It was a very dark and stormy night. Channel four, the news, said there was a tornado watch in East Orange county. Not many people were outside due to this. It was on that night that something broke. Something internal that resided in a woman. She panicked, not knowing what to do. She couldn’t do much; not without her husband by her side. He was overseas, probably fighting and leading squads to and fro. She didn’t know much about the military but supported them nonetheless. Sonya was stressed and even more so now that the storm was flickering the lights and no one else resided in the house. The only person that checked up on her sometimes left for the day an hour or so away and her due date wasn’t until some weeks. Alas, her water broke and she was panicking. She knew she couldn’t drive when in pain like this. The only thing that came to mind was calling the neighbor. One didn’t answer, but when she called the other, the son of the family answered. His parents weren’t home and he was a high school student. Nonetheless, he had a practice license and volunteered to drive her. It was risky, but she was in immense pain. The boy, Antonio, helped her to the car, now soaked in water from the pouring rain outside. It was then, even when the tornado sirens screeched the sky, the teenager drove to the hospital. Swerving here and there, the child managed to make it to the hospital. He parked in the front and helped her inside; yelling for staff to help. Sonya called the hospital after she got off the phone with Antonio, so they knew she was arriving. Soon enough, some staff helped her and took her to another room while Antonio moved the car before rushing back inside. The teenager was right by her side… Or well, most of the time was. Hours upon hours passed, and Sonya’s sister showed up, but everyone else was in the house on this horrible night. Once, the power was cut out, but the back-up generators immediately kicked in. Soon enough, after some hours, she gave birth. A five pound even baby was born on a horrid day; full of power outage, tornado sightings (was watch, now it was confirmed), and pouring rain transfused with lightning and thundering.
It was some months later, more so like half a year before Kilo returned home to a baby boy in the arms of his beloved. She went on ahead and did the paperwork without him. The two took months upon months negotiating with each other for a name for both genders. Severin was the name that they both magically agreed on to have if it was a boy. Kilo was overjoyed and immediately scooped up his little boy in his hands. He was born early, but when he came back home, the baby was of decent size and weight. Kilo was still serving and any time now, like before, he could be called away. Nonetheless though, the man stayed with Severin and Sonya for as long as he could. They boy grew up strong thus far. There were incidences here and there where the baby’s blood pressure was outrageous but nonetheless, the little baby boy soon turned out fine. Little did both parents knew that it as the cause of the kid’s powers conjuring and brewing up inside. Antonio still lived next door and still helped out with Sonya and the baby when Kilo was sent back overseas once more. The teenager oddly felt attached to the baby boy and offered to babysit him for some pay. The pay was usually Pay-Per-View movies On Demand. Nonetheless, Sonya continued to do her job to support the family since two incomes were much better than leaning solely on one.
As the years passed, little Severin, or Sev as they started to call him, was walking, talking, going to school, and becoming quite the opinioned little fellow. Antonio on the other hand was starting to ebb away from the family as he got more involved with college and his own life. The Strez family didn’t see much of the boy. Soon, Sev was absent of an older brother figure and was soon learning to cope with himself and his own problems as well as trying his best to help his mother out while learning at school. Good work for some little elementary school kid, right? Despite him being on medication and being rushed to the hospital constantly for high blood pressure and other blood-related problems, Severin was always by his mother’s side. Trying to lessen the stress that the lonely mother had to endure.
Here and there, Kilo returned home to visit his family when things settled down a bit. But he didn’t stay there for long. Being absent of a father now, Sev soon grew up more with a womanly touch to him; as he was almost absent of a father. The man was fighting for the country and even more so his family that he loved. When Severin was about thirteen and was graduating elementary school to go to high school, it was then that Sonya found out that she was pregnant once more. It was something that both partied didn’t expect to happen. She told Kilo who barely got on the phone to talk to her overseas, but the man was both shocked and happy for her. As Sev went into high school, the teenager was getting picked on, like with any Freshman that entered school. This time his mother was about four months pregnant. It was around this time that Severin was acting weirder than the norm. Sonya assumed it was because he was new to this school and because of the bullying that occurred, so didn’t think much of it; but nonetheless tried to help. It wasn’t more so the bully’s than Severin starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together. While the family assumed he just had blood-related problems, Sev thought otherwise. While in a fight with a bully, Sev was punched, kicked, and pushed aside. But when the young lad decided to fight back, each punch that he delivered seem to numb the bully’s point of impact. Soon enough, Sev was suspended for some days – granted ISS; or Inside School Suspension. It was a detention, per se, but it just stunk more.
With her son getting more aggressive and slightly obsessing over wanting to be like his father – but being a real man and staying home, it was around that time where Sonya got a letter in the mail. No, it wasn’t about Kilo dying overseas, it was about his “dishonorable discharge” that he received. Something happened overseas and he disobeyed a direct order; getting some of his men killed, but in the end, saving around twenty people; civilians in the process. Apparently, that didn’t go too well with some people and the man, instead of going to jail, received a dishonorable discharged. If he was stripped of his former rank, he refused to tell the tale to his son. After all, the child was looking up to him in an odd way. Not very positive; but Sev was trying to be like his father – but better – for he was going to “be there” for his mother, unlike Kilo.
Now a stay at home father, arguments heated up. Even more so with Severin getting into trouble for breaking electronics at school. The parents didn’t think much of it, but were suspicious of it for it was constant. Five months pregnant now, Sonya was happy to know that she was having a baby boy. All she wanted was a checkup, but ended up getting the gender of her baby too. Kilo, like before, was gone constantly – trying to find another job; leaving Sonya alone for most of the time. She worked, but the pay wasn’t as good as Kilo’s. The two parents argued constantly, more so about the house, bills, sex life, and Severin – and now introducing the new child to be. Money was getting tight and the family was getting stressed. Severin was thirteen when he tried to comfort his mother when Kilo left in a raging fit. It was then that she knew something was wrong. When Severin held her tightly, she felt numb… She couldn’t feel anything at all and then she felt massive pain. Not knowing what really to do, Sev called Kilo and the man returned; rushing his wife to the hospital. The baby… Was dead. Sonya knew why, but kept silent. Kilo was heartbroken and Sev… The same.
It was then that the rolls seemed to switch. Sonya was less of a mother and more of a father – as in being assertive, more than she should be, and constantly ignoring Sev. Kilo was the same, but now with a job, was a little nicer. Still, the fights continued and soon enough, when Sev was fifteen, the two had a divorce. The mother didn’t even try for custody of Sev so the child remained with his father. The house was in Sonya’s name so Kilo and Sev moved out to an apartment right on the edge of East Orange. By this time, Sev’s blood problems started to diminish but the ones of breaking electrical appliances continued. Kilo was getting angrier with his son until one day – where he talked to Sonya. The two had a heated argument until she brought up that Severin killed the boy. It was that day she convinced him of certain things that other people would have not believed. At first, Kilo took it somewhat well, but was suspicious until he tried it with Sev. It was on that day that he knew that Sev was a “gifted” just like he was and just like his mother was. Sev knew he had something to do with blood and electricity, but when Kilo had a long talk with him, things made more sense now. Much more sense…
He was a freak, as his father put it. And his mother hated him for it. Even though she was the same, she just didn’t forgive… She was excited to be a mother again and Sev ruined it. She just didn’t understand nor forgave unlike Kilo did. As Sev continued to try to learn more of his powers, the lad was becoming more intelligent in the aspects of Military information. His father kept on telling tales and even showing him some guns he had carried and how they worked and such. Occasionally they visited Sonya, but other than that, she was absent out of his life. Still in high school. Severin soon got a job and immediately that money went with his father’s and helped paid for the bills and such. As Kilo got a promotion and a much better pay, the man decided to look into buying a house not too far away. When Sev was seventeen (he skipped a year back in elementary school) and graduated from high school, he didn’t go to prom, but he did have a little party at his mother’s place. She, at least, decided to be back in his life for this special day.
Sev had a talk to his mother in private, but the woman didn’t seem to really listen. She said she loved Sev, but not as much as she could. There was a slight blockade in the way that she just couldn’t let go. After that day, Kilo decided to inform Sev that he should be on his own – when eighteen came, he was, legally; and Kilo was all for that. As harsh as it was, he wanted his son to learn responsibility and the like. Kilo moved out of the apartment, but signed it so that Severin lived there. Kilo went to live in the small one-story house not too far. The man became more independent and visited his father frequently. When Kilo found out what field he was going into, the man smiled a bit. He was expecting something more frontal and in your face like the Military, but anything law-related Kilo remained happy. Sev was going into the law field; attempting to become a Federal Corrections Officer.
At twenty-one, he received his degree and immediately took action. Filing applicants here and there and hoping to get something. Enough waiting, he got a bite. But this one required some weeks of correction academy training that Sev was willing to do. After those weeks, Sev was a prison guard; legally carrying a gun and wearing a uniform; patrolling Essex’s prison containment with some other guards. He owned the East Wing for some time. The job was a little boring and really dangerous when the prisoners got out of control but with his abilities, Sev got them on their knees no problem. With his blood ability that he managed to expand at such an early age, he could control his own blood, as well as the hemoglobin of others. Soon enough, people started to point to him and say that “he had his way with the prisoners”. And most certainly he did. The smarter ones that seemed to be the most violent knew to behave whenever he was on the job. The man tended to be a bit extreme and that seemed to get the prisoners more in line and out of the hair of the authorities.

Since he skipped a year back in elementary school, he was at college at seventeen. It was there in a dorm party that he met a girl and the two hooked up just for that night. Things got heated and she ended up being pregnant. Never did tell Severin. As she showed, she dropped out of school while Severin, unbeknownst about the son, was continuing his education. At twenty-three, six years later, she finally confronted Severin about it and told him he was a father. At first he didn’t believe it but now he does - and soon filed charges and took her to court. It was risky and the odds weren’t in his favor, but somehow the appeals court took his side and full custody was his. Though it was soon after he won that the woman just vanished from their lives. Not even child support papers came in. The child’s name was Nate and soon took on Severin’s last name and now resides with the man.
