We want it all, we wanna play this part
She could picture that night in her head over and over again. She could rehearse what she knew she had seen. She could easily reason that no man could be strong enough to kill someone that easily. She could also reason that the blood on his chin was from him biting into the man’s neck…of course she didn’t want to. She didn’t want to believe that vampires and demons existed…that her family was really a group of hunters. Denial was a much easier route to take. It was much less painful and it was simpler. She didn’t want to believe that she was anything more than a normal human woman doing her job and working with other normal humans. In order to make sure that her mind didn’t take any of those wild tangents that she wanted to avoid she ensured that she kept herself busy with work. She took on twice her normal load and made sure to do everything that she could. She also made an effort to avoid Grimm. She didn’t extend her invitations to him as she had in the past to play a game of poker at her place. She barely gave him a nod in the halls and continued with her business.
Time passed rather quickly and with the intelligence that was gathered it was time for her to put the finishing touch on her mission. She was supposed to regain her role as the exotic dancer and retrieve the bug that she’d planted there many months before. She was excited that her first mission would soon be at a head. Everything would come full cycle and she’d have a notch on her belt. Though…things didn’t quite turn out the way that she had hoped. She made it in easily enough with an excuse that she was visiting one of her old friends at the club. She made her way into the room where she’d planted the bug only to find out that it wasn’t there… within moments she had that anxious feeling that she always seemed to get…of course she wouldn’t accept that it was of a supernatural origin. Only moments after she found herself passed out on the floor and unconscious. Apparently the man that she’d been “working for” wasn’t your typical human drug lord. He was a demon and managed to get the best of her . They locked down the club for the night and tied her down…considering how strong she was they had to take a few extra measures to keep her from fighting free. She was three hours late for her check in and Next would come the interrogation… one thing about demons was that they could cause a relentless amount of pain without even killing the person…and unfortunately…she wasn’t the type to cave. It would be quite a few hours maybe even days of agony before they’d give up and just kill her. Now was as good a time as any to get started with the interrogation…classic water boarding was always a good beginning.
