Davidson. Yeah, Davidson was the name that Malachi wouldn’t forget. So either she did her research pretty darn well and just found him by stalking or she knew what she was doing because she was actually there… And all this was just some messed up coincidence that Malachi was trying to refuse could happen. Sadly, the latter was slowly winning the more and more she talked; and the more and ore information was presented. Coincidences existed though Malachi tried not to believe in such things, he knew that they did, in fact, exist. He just wished that they didn’t. Why? For weird crap like this happened. He remained quiet and let her talk before dismissing himself for a moment to talk to his son who was calling. Malachi just wanted to leave right about now…
Returning to her, the man went back to talking with her. She was speaking the truth and even still, his mind was trying its best to not believe her. Sadly, it wasn’t doing so well. “I guess we have something in common.” He spoke – referring to the ‘marrying your work’ comment. Hopefully she got that. “I umm, yeah, sure.” Swallowing for the first time in what seemed like forever, Malachi grabbed his water bottle and took a few sips before continuing on with his broken sentence, “We could meet up and talk. What day and time are you good for?” He spoke, trying to break down days and times to one where they both can meet. He was a single father with not much free time due to his work and his child, however… A date was made that he was free on. Hopefully his son wouldn’t call him and cancel this little meeting. “Okay, I will… See you then.” Obviously he wanted to leave. See you then, Miss Grayson.” He spoke before heading to get his other things then out the door. Uncomfortable even with the truth? Slightly.
It wasn’t until sometime later that it was time to meet up with this so called woman from the gym. She knew him and his son from the past but Malachi didn’t recall her at all. However she was telling the truth. Sitting at the table, Malachi ordered some Jasmine Tea and was just blowing on it – refusing to use the ice in his water that was next to him. He was early so he had some more time to be to himself and think of some more questions – which sadly, he didn’t think much of. He was too preoccupied with just meeting her and his normal life routine to even practice. Oh well, it didn’t matter. Questions would come when they came. Now all he had to do was wait for her. Hopefully she didn’t cancel, got lost, or was just pulling his string. After all they didn’t exchange numbers but he thought since she was a cop, she could take initiative and contact him if things didn’t work out for her. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be disappointed today.
